About the Artists:
Jim and Sibyl are longtime artist and active members in the book arts world. Their individual work is represented in private and corporate collections around the country. Their False Bay Edition collaborations are already included in the Special Collections of Yale University, Oberlin College, Brown University, University of California San Diego, San Diego State University, and the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library La Jolla. Sibyl is the artist-in-residence at the Athenaeum in La Jolla and teaches book arts classes at their School of the Arts. Jim is an adjunct professor at San Diego Mesa College where he teaches printmaking and art appreciation classes.
About Bay Park Press:
Sibyl and Jim founded Bay Park Press in 2000 to foster the production of fine art prints and artist's books. The facility includes Vandercook Universal I and Kelsey letter presses, a Charles Brand etching press, a Chandler Price guillotine cutter, and a growing selection of metal type. periodic courses in printmaking, letterpress and book arts are offered to the community. Space and time are available to San Diego artists to produce print or book art projects for a yearly or monthly fee. The press is located in the Bay Park neighborhood.
