Numbered. Signed by the poet and artist. Edition of 50 plus 15 artists' proofs (P.A. 1-15), 5 binding workshop copies (P.T. 1-5), and 3 print proofs (P.I. 1-3). In slipcase with closed sides, paper-covered spine and edges, and leather Intagrafía insignia on cover panel.

Colophon: "The Book of Equis was designed and printed in Intagrafía, located in San Jose del Cabo under the direction of Peter Rutledge Koch, with monotypes created by El Nacho. Printed under the supervision of Lenin Andujo Fajardo by Ivonne Rivas."

El Nacho web site: "En 2012, 'El Nacho' toma un curso intensivo con el tipógrafo Peter Koch en Berkeley, California con el propósito de incluir en Intagrafía un taller de tipografía. A partir de aquí parte el primer proyecto con tipos móviles: 'El Libro de la X'. El libro consta de un poema del poeta mexicano Alberto Blanco sobre el uso de la letra 'X' y monotipos creados por El Nacho. Esta pieza fue seleccionada para formar parte de la colección permanente de la biblioteca de Stanford en la Bienal Codex 2012."

Loose English translation: "In 2012, El Nacho takes a crash course with the typographer Peter Koch in Berkeley, California for the purpose of including typography in the Intagrafía workshop. From this session of the first project with movable type was printed 'The Book of X'. The book includes a poem by the Mexican poet Alberto Blanco on the use of the letter 'X' and monotypes created by El Nacho. This piece was selected to form part of the permanent collection of the library of Stanford in the Codex Biennial 2012."
