American Male, Acting Up begins: They say your whole life flashes before you when you die, but I'm sure I'll witness the lives of others. These pages swarm with the lives of others, most particularly 'Peter Johnson,' who rants and raves like any free-mouthed cynic of the good old empire."

He received his BA from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and his MA and PhD in English from the University of New Hampshire.
